Like many of us, I grew up listening to PJ on Radio 3, and met him briefly during my tenure as Miss Archipelago (1993). After I moved to the States, and he to the UK, we ran into each other on social media and wrote a handful of times over the years.
Pee Jay was one of the hardest working and most supportive people in radio I have ever met (spanning three continents). He was also a kind and thoughtful person, and it is with tears that I type these words.
All of my condolences to the Johns family, and to my fellow Pee Jay fans the world over.
Love,
Brooke
